| Description: | To assist in the inspection, repair and maintenance of all buildings, apartments, common area facilities, grounds, and equipment related to the property and to ensure that health and safety procedures are adhered to in order to provide residents and colleagues with a safe, positive and sanitary living environment. Position is responsible for assisting in the supervising of staff. |
| Qualifications: | High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years experience in maintenance or equivalent field. Prior apartment maintenance experience preferred. Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, and general building trades is required. Position requires own the basic tools to perform apartment/building maintenance. Must be proficient in reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; excellent interpersonal relations and communicative skills; auditory and visual skills. Must be able bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, climb stairs & ladder, to reach, lift, pull, push, balance, crouch, crawl, kneel and lift or carry weight up to 75 pounds. May be exposed to inside and outside environmental conditions, chemical hazards, respiratory hazards, extreme cold for more than 1 hour at a time, extreme heat for more than 1 hour at a time. Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal history background check prior to employment with Sterling Management Ltd., and possess a valid state driver’s license. |
